Banquets
This beautiful historic room has a capacity of 265 (4050 sq ft) for a sit down meal and dance. Stage at the north end is home to our lovely grand piano and huge stained window. Original hardwood floors and 8 foot wainscoting grace this lovely room. Twelve large semi circular windows allow for wonderful lighting for presentations, auctions, etc. Use the original chandelier lighting during your dinner and intimate side coach lighting for your dance later in the evening.
Meeting Room/Event Space
We have one meeting room available for up to 30 guests - great for business events, showers, birthday parties, holiday gatherings, etc. Tables and chairs are included for you to set up as you wish. Projector and Projection screen available. (nominal fee)
The Banquet Hall
A fully functioning kitchen is available for your preferred caterer. Includes 2 commercial gas ovens with grill, double fridge, steam table, dishes/cutlery, coffee urns and commercial dishwasher.
Ladies/Men’s/Accessible washrooms off the main hall for easy access.
Hall parking lot available for your event as well as municipal parking directly across the street and in front of the building. Hall is accessible from the west entrance to the main hall.
The main hall includes the following for your banquet:
- 60” round tables (seat 8)
- 8’ rectangular tables (seat 8)
- 265 banquet style chair
- Podium
- Bar room
- Projector with two screen sizes to choose from (nominal fee)
- Professional Quality Sound System + Wireless Microphone(nominal fee)
- Stanchions (nominal fee)
- Ceiling treatment - 2 options to choose from (additional fee apply)
Bowling Alley
Located in the basement of the Newcastle Community Hall is the Newcastle Bowling Alley. This unique bowling alley was set up as a “community project” by the Village of Newcastle residents in 1959. Currently today, it is a 4 lane bowling alley that is mostly rented for League bowling-6 days a week. These Leagues range from their four Ladies Leagues, Seniors, C.O.A.A., Mixed, Autism Group and a Youth League (5-18 years of age). The space is occasionally available to rent to the public with a maximum capacity of 24 people.
